Madison WI Trans Organization Seeks Support for 2005 "Transgender Awareness Week"

Upper Mid-West Conference in April 2005

After a very success event in 2004, we at the Madison Area Transgender Association will be holding our 2nd annual "Transgender Awareness Week" in Madison Wisconsin in April 2005. We are seeking other organizations, groups, and allies in other locations to help in this endeavor, through your generous support.

Our 2005 event will feature many major speakers, including Gwen Smith, Marci Bowers, Monica Helms, Ethan St.Pierre, Mara Keisling, and many more, along with 2 entertainment nights that includes a drag show. We will also holding a Diversity Forum during this week and expect the Governor of Wisconsin to attend.

The 2nd annual "Transgender Awareness Week" in Madison Wisconsin is scheduled for April 8th thru the 15th. An Upper Mid-West Conference will be held from April 12th thru the 15th at the University of Wisconsin, the Monona Terrace, and the Union South. We will have rooms available at $64 per night at the Fredrick Center.
