MINNESOTA: SOCIAL CONNECTIONS

genderBLUR

Description:
genderBLUR is a social event, cabaret and party for the trans, genderqueer, and allied communities. The first event in March 2002 was such a stunning success that genderBLUR is now held regularly.

genderBLUR's Mission (working draft) is to provide a social, creative, and artistic space for transgender, genderqueer, and allied communities to facilitate discussion, build coalitions, and connect otherwise isolated individuals.

genderBLUR strives to create a welcoming and respectful environment which is free of racism, classism, ageism, ableism, biphobia, transphobia, homophobia, misogyny, cultural appropriation, and all other interrelated forms of oppression.

All people involved in genderBLUR, including volunteers, attendees, and performers, are asked to participate in the creation of this open and non-oppressive environment, which is open to people of all ages.
