Where Are The Graphics?
Michele O'Mara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Indiana. She earned a Masters of Social Work degree from Indiana University and has been a practicing therapist since graduating in 1992. Michele has various credentials which enhance her education and qualifications for counseling. These include: ACRPS (Accredited Relapse Prevention Specialist); ABS ( Academy of Bereavement Professionals), ACSW (Accredited Clinical Social Worker).
O'Mara is a member of the Harry Benjamin Association for gender issues. She has worked with individuals both on the MTF and FTM gender spectrum. Since 1994, she has focused primarily on the needs of oppressed, diverse, and highly-stigmatized populations.
Although she primarily serves gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons as well as their loved ones, Michelle O'Mara also works with non-gay, gender conforming individuals and couples.
Finally, after much discussion and many requests for this, we are now offering a support group for significant others of TG persons - often referred to as SOFFAs (significant others, friends, family and allies). This group will be facilitated by Kelly Leach, MSW - an associate with Michele O'Mara. You can contact her directly via email at [email protected] if you have questions about the group.
The group will meet in our NEW OFFICE at 660 South High School Road during the same day and time as the MTF support group (every other Wednesday from 7-8pm). The next group is Wednesday, March 16th. Cost is also the same: $20 per group.
